Weekending

We spent the weekend resting.  And did I need it.  I am finally feeling better and so are the girls.  Taking naps and being lazy have a way of making a sick girl well.  So do margaritas...

My favorite recipe:

2 oz. lime juice
1.5 oz. tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1 scant tablespoon fine sugar

Pour into a shaker filled with crushed ice.  Shake well.  Serve over the rocks into a salted glass.  Makes 1.

I got back into the crafting groove and spent some time sewing.  The girls decided to embroider:  a t-shirt for Kate and a gift for Jane.

I am in love with this smiling tree Kate drew.

And I am very impressed with Jane's design and her even stitching.  It's amazing the difference four months makes.

Happy Monday!

I am glad you are feeling better. I am sure the Margarita's helped in the recovery process:)

The girls embroidery are so sweet. I have never done embroidery but my daughter and I would like to try it. Did you use an erasable pen to draw on the design? What's the best fabric to use for beginners? Can't wait to see pictures of the final product!

Ahhh... I always love a good alcohol-related post! Glad to hear that you're feeling better. The girls' projects are beautiful - Jane's progress is amazing.

margaritas and embroidery--I love it! I wish you could come over for what we call, Bobaritas--my husband makes an extra juicy version--orange, lemon, lime goodness. Happy Friday and thanks for sharing all your skills.
