A Little Crafting
April 17, 2007
While traveling last week I worked on some embroidery.
This was the perfect craft for me to take along. It didn't take up much room in the suitcase and it was small enough that I could sit and stitch by the pool or in front of the TV. It's easy to pick up and put down as needed and I can still carry on a conversation while stitching along. I find it to be extremely calming also. And who couldn't use a bit more calm in their lives? I certainly can.
Hillary has published 3 groups of stitchettes....I have 10 of the 12 done. What do you bet I get the other two finished while I am waiting for my machine? Waiting is the hardest part.
what a sweet picture!
i think i need to take up embroidery...

Oh my, I have been away from this blog too long! That giraffe applique back in March was AWESOME and so was the bird.
With that I am off to add you to my bloglines so I am not away so long again. :-)

Hmmm... embroidery. I've been off of the knitting kick for a while now and could use a portable craft (carrying thousands of beads and wire around just isn't so convenient). You may have led me to a new hobby.

I love being able to craft without sitting in front of a sewing machine. It's so soothing.

Those are so cute. I'm contemplating getting the patterns. What are you planning on doing with them when they're done?

Very Lovely Erin. Can't wait to see what it becomes. I know I keep saying it but...I really have to give embroidery a go.

I am a big fan of embroidery - not something that my fingers can create, hence my fandom.

I like that Stitchette. I have had some of these for awhile now and haven't used them - thanks for the inspiration.

That is adorable....I should take up embroidery! It would be so much easier for me to travel with that then all the YARN I pack! I always think I need to take LOTS and always end up taking way too much!
Your work looks beautiful!

When I see this, it's very tempting to start embroidery. But a week ago I started needle felt, I have 2 quilts to finish, 3 sweaters to knit, and a mohair granny square blanket. Help! I need more time! Thanks for the inspiration.
