Not a lot of crafting
April 26, 2007
...but a lot of swapping! Let me tell you, I love good mail!
The box from my mellow + yellow swap partner, Amy, has been here unopened for over a week. I finally got my swap package off to her on Tuesday. Once that was done, I ripped open the box and found this:
Isn't it great? My very own ice cream bowl and spoon! I know two little girls that would love to get their mitts on this, but, no way. This one is for me. The color is a wonderful turquoise topped off by a lime green daisy. My two favorite colors together again. Thanks Amy! It's wonderful. And thank you, Marta, for organizing this swap.
I am sure tomorrow's mail will be of the ho hum, ordinary variety. Too bad - I like the extraordinary kind much better.
an ice cream bowl + matching scoop?!!! i can't think of anything that could be more mellow. super lovely. nim, you did it again. glad you love it erin. enjoy. now all you need is some haggan daaz.
and thanks for participating in the swap. hope you had fun.

oh lucky you. It's not only beautiful, but I think it will hold a nice big scoop of ice cream :)

Mmmm...so now what would be the PERFECT ice cream to go into that sweet bowl? Mint choc. chip would look pretty, or something unexpected like mango...mmm....or simple vanilla would look summery fresh. Can you tell I love your bowl and scoop?

The little card underneath is especially meaningful for me today, since Jack was crying and not going to bed, and I ate ice cream while I waited it out. (Bad mama perhaps, but it was one of those days!)LOL

I like her interpretation of mellow (and not just because it's ice cream-related - well... okay, because it's ice cream-related). And your package, especially those great cards, was sweet, too. I gotta sign up for one of these.

you have the same swap philosophy that i do! don't open one received until one is returned! i am such a procrastinater otherwise. i am afraid a bowl like that would totally disapprea along with my girls and a pint of chocolate chip!

Ahhh....The freezer called to me all night, and I resisted! Not if I had that bowl and spoon!
Too cute!

How lovely. And the card is so cute. I thought it was a thrift find at first until I read the whole thing.

I'm ANGRY! I wanted to participate in a nice swap like this but keep missing them. I usually finds out about it when its over and you guys start receiving all the cool stuffs. Yucks! Would you be kind enough to highlight me how you get to know a swap is on? Please, please!
