Looking good Erin! Hey what kind of sewing machine do you use? I am thinking of upgrading my 60's Singer I found on Craigslist. It's a champ for sure, but I want to do that free motion quilting so much!
Oh and also, I love that aqua fabric. I noticed it's the same one you use in your shirring tutorial. Do you remember where you purchased it or what it's called?
Hi! I e-mailed you earlier in the week to thank you for the twirly skirt directions....now I'm just lurking to see what you're up to!! LOL!! I love the quilt. The flower print is sooo pretty.

Ooh I'm feeling inspired to have another go at free motion quilting. I love your little loops and the quilt colours are gorgeous. The little practise pieces are so cute too.
Ha, I know just how that goes. I have dozens of threads but never enough of the ones I *need* for that particular project. It's looking great - so bright and fresh,
I think we've all ran into this problem. I don't so much have this problem with thread, but with other notions that I just don't think about picking up.
I really love what your doing and love the looping top stitching! Now, I'm trying to understand this, can any machine do this freestyle stitching? Is that a foot you buy?
it looks so great, erin!

I had that problem with my last quilt too.
It looks lovely! Such patience to make those cute little loops.

I am always pulling those kind of mistakes too. I love the color choices. The tope fabric is very nice and I think the thread colors suit it well.

Funny...and gorgeous... I have done the same thing...and it always happens with red or orange thread...I must use it more than I think I do!

So far so good! It will be beautiful once your all done!

I would love to try this, but I would need to get that foot for my sewing machine first.
I know what you mean about running out of thread. Sometimes it's too late to run to the store so I have to get creative :)

Ouch; that always happens to me. Especially with free motion. It's so hard to just guess how much thread it's actually going to eat up!

Great contrast and the free motion quilting is wonderful.
Please consider doing a mini-tutorial on that kind of machine quilting. Nerm
