Bread talk
Hello February, I've got my eye on you

Progress is good

Progress

Would you look at that?  I'm sewing today and it made me think of this post.  That was 15 months ago and that sewing journey started six months before that day.  So yeah, I've been working on this project for 21 months.  And as of today, I've finished piecing 96 out of 96 single girl squares and pieced 24 pairs together.  By the end of the day I hope to have one of two twin quilt tops put together.  I think it's a great way to end the month of January.

Of course, February will start with more of the same which is also good.  I'm ready to put this baby to bed.

it will be lovely. :)

Go, Erin! You'll have these sandwiched in no time. How are you going to quilt them?

Brittani Oliver

Love it! Can't wait to see!

kristine hanson

Yeah! for finishing something, always makes one feel so good to cross a project off the "to do" list!!

Debra

Congrats! I can't wait to see it!

Aunt LoLo

Yea you!!!! Can't wait to see the finished quilts...

melissa f.

ERIN! i need some of whatever you've got.

Sarah ::greenclogs

Yay you!! I think you want me to start that project so I can feel your pain. :)

I'm tapping into your mojo today. 12 of 48 squares done. Doing 4 more today and then piecing them into the larger blocks. I'll feel like progress is going faster if I don't have 48 small blocks staring me in the face (like my other 3 quilts that have blocks and need to be pieced together). Having 4 of 12 blocks done sounds so much better than 16 of 48.

charlotte

feels great to accomplish your daily goals...well done!
Did I tell you I love the new banner?

You sounds like me! I have one quilt to do and have been working on it for much longer than I care to know! It is one of those things I keep putting off... I really really need to get back to it. Can't wait to see yours finished- maybe it will give me the drive to finish mine?!?! Maybe!??!

Tammy

I can't wait to see the finished product.

Krista - Poppyprint

That's impressive! I love that quilt pattern and look forward to seeing your twins come together.

Suzanne

Sewing for kiddos must be in the air because I was doing the same. It's good to spread that sewing energy around. Thanks! By the way, I loved that picture of you with your green shoes.

Mama Urchin

Wow, has it been that long? I'm glad you're making progress.

leslie

Jennifer

It feels so good when you finally finish a project that you've been working on forever. Can't wait to see it.

Meg Evans

Wow! I can't believe it has been that long-good for you! It's going to look great once it's finally done!

Mary Ann

Sigh ... your post makes me think about the quilt that I started 16 months ago (for my then 18 month old son) that is still waiting for the final quilting (I ran out of thread!) and the binding! Just ... want ... it ... done!

blair

Go Erin go! I need some of whatever you got too, I tried to make one little thing today and never let myself get around to it.

So inspiring! What a good note to start February on. Finishing up/making real progress on a piece is such a good feeling.
