That pic of the yarn wall makes me want to start crocheting again. I need to dump all my old synthetic yarn and buy up some natural skeins with my birthday money. If you happen to have a suggestion for a cotton or wool yarn that's affordable but nice for blanket type things, please let me know!
I'll be there next week and Purl is on the top of my list to visit. Last time I was there they were still in the two tiny shops. I'm excited to see the new space and pick out a few souvenirs :o)
they were teeny! and the new space has a workroom in back that is bigger than purl patchwork was if that gives you an idea of how nice the combined store is.
Looks like heaven. I really wish I had gotten there on my last trip. But when in NY it's just so hard to fit it ALL in! Thankfully I can visit vicariously through friends. :-)
Lucky girl!! Fabrics look great, lovely combination, and Fatty looks very patience. When I go with my husband to buy some fabric, he just walks around.
Lovely day!!
I'm hoping to take the train into the city while at the Rhinebeck wool fest next month and Purl is definitely on the "to do" list. Thanks for the added motivation!
A friend and I visited this shop on a recent trip to NY and fell in love! Too bad we live in North Carolina :(
I told my husband that I want to plan a trip back just so I can visit this wonderful little shop again!
How fun!

So lucky! I read their blog and shop online but haven't been to the store. Will definitely have to save up for a trip there :)

Rachel - I'd ask at the yarn store. The ladies here are always great at finding good values for me.

Hi Erin
I love the fabric you choose. Who makes the top two grey fabrics?
Thanks for your help
Claire

hi claire - most of the fabrics are alexander henry. hope that helps.
